It seems everyone who has a blog or website is taking this week to run their annual “Year in Review” extravaganza, and I figured I’d take the opportunity to hop on that train as well.

2013 was a banner year for TG.com.  It seems I was a writing ninja penning 190+ posts alone on this site, which is a lot more than I thought I did.

All I told I think I had roughly 87 references to Star Wars, 56 to Matt Damon, 35 to how much I despise Tracy Anderson, and probably around 18 references to “poop,” because I’m immature like that.

In any case, people seem to stick around day in and day out and I couldn’t be more appreciative.

The following articles were the most popular of 2013 based off of web traffic.

Oh, before we get started I just wanted to let everyone know that Rick Kaselj, as part of celebrating Boxing Day (the Canadian version of, well, I have no idea), is placing the entire Muscle Imbalances Revealed anthology at a 60% discount from now (Dec. 26th) through this Sunday (Dec. 30th).

    Thanks for providing us with quality content, Tony. Yours is one of the few blogs that I check out regularly and I always come away learning something.

    I’d like to share something profound here (training-wise) now that the year is winding down. This year, I learned what is possibly the best HIIT methodology for cardio. Irrefutably the best. And the best part? It came naturally to me – I wasn’t even thinking about it. In fact, I didn’t even want it. But if he had actually seen me do the workout, Izumi Tabata would’ve had a boner. Here’s how the thing went down: you see, I was walking to work without a care in the world. The birds were chirping and the sky was blue when suddenly from inside a house I saw this giant cloud of dust fast approaching me. Being naturally inquisitive, I stopped a second to investigate. And the faint image of a beast from behind the cloud slowly appeared. About one more second later (amounting to a total of 2 seconds of active rest), I saw the Rottweiler slam into the fence baring its sizeable fangs, and the iron links looked in danger of giving out. Thus started the intensity part: running across a four lane road and oncoming cars on to the other side screaming like a little girl. I estimate I covered roughly 50 m in about 0.2 seconds, turning a deaf ear to all the honking. I lost anywhere between 3-5 lbs instantly. Admittedly, most of it was in the form of an instant discharge of pee and poop, but I was able to retain the gainz.

    Feel free to steal the idea. I wish everyone here a very happy 2014.
